Our Story
For nearly 90 years, the Gallimore family has been dedicated to serving the people of Floyd County and Southwest Virginia. What began as a small family business has grown into Wills Ridge Supply, a trusted source for lumber, hardware, building materials, and home improvement products. Through every generation, one thing has remained unchanged: a commitment to treating customers with honesty, respect, and the kind of personal service that's becoming harder to find.
How It All Started
1936
1947
The Gallimore Family Business Begins
At just 23 years old, Leslie Allen “L.A.” Gallimore entered the timber business after his father helped finance his first timber purchase. He soon started a sawmill, beginning the family business that would eventually grow into Wills Ridge Supply.
Wills Ridge Service Station Opens
C.L. Gallimore and J.P. Weeks opened Wills Ridge Service Station, a country store that served the everyday needs of the community. Over the years, the store carried everything from eggs and household goods to farm supplies, gasoline, lumber, and even dynamite.
1960's
Late 1980's
A New Chapter
L.A. Gallimore purchased J.P. Weeks' share of the business, becoming the sole owner. Alongside Chester Gallimore, he expanded the business while earning a reputation for quality products, honest service, and strong community relationships.
The Fourth Generation
Following the retirement of Les , Chester and Joe Gallimore assumed ownership and continued growing Wills Ridge Supply while preserving the values the business was built on.
Today
Joe Gallimore continues leading Wills Ridge Supply with the same dedication to customer service that has defined the business for 90 years. Hunter and Grant Gallimore both studied and obtained bachelor degrees at Radford University. They now are working alongside Joe and are committed to carrying forward nearly 90 years of family tradition while helping lead Wills Ridge Supply into its next chapter.
